Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Alumni Meeting Minutes

The quarterly meeting of the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Alumni was called to order by President, Nick Greiner on January 11^th, 2014 at 6:30 P.M. at the Ag Classroom. There were 15 members and 1 guest present: Josh Cordle, J.D. Stover, Brittany Pinkstock, Laurie Travis, Adam Travis, Megan Francis, Mark Francis, Ben Blosser, Jennifer Blosser, Eric Valentine, Justin Groves, Crystal Groves, Jeff Tilley, Nick Brumfield, Nick Greiner, and one guest, Catelin Covell. There were 14 members excused: Brad Bowers, Amanda Cassidy, Tonya Forsythe, Angie Greiner, Brynn Hoffman, Christian Hoffman, Alyssa Jenkins, Sierra Jepsen, Nate Seitz, Hannah Chenetski, Cassi Rainier, David Sams, Stacey Sams, and Allyson Davis. The following members did not respond to any RSVP: Adam Baldwin, Robert Blosser, C.J. Broaddus, Jeff Cordle, Tony Davis, Becky Ellinger, Mike Ellinger, Tyler Genders, Andy Holbrook, Carolyn Holbrook, Ted Holbrook, Steve Hyme, Cheyenne Jepsen, Travis Kiser, Tom Lamp, Barry Marshall, Aaron Miller, Jodi Rawlins, Kyle Sharp, Mark Sharp, Scott Sharp, Beth Snoke, Dale Solt, Joel Spires, Jennifer Statzer, Neil Stevenson, Jennifer Valentine, Heath Whitney, Jenna Ferguson, Eddie Johnson, Devan Picklesimer, and Mikaila Drake.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting: Josh Cordle moved to accept the minutes of the previous meeting. Brittany Pinkstock seconded the motion. The motion to accept the minutes of the previous meeting passed.

Officer Reports: Jeff Tilley held discussion on the Alumni's Financial report. Brittany Pinkstock moved to accept the officer reports. Mark Francis seconded the motion. The motion to accept the officer reports as read passed.

Committee Reports: Jeff Tilley, Josh Cordle, and Jennifer Blosser held discussion on fundraising ideas, scholarship interview date, annual members dues, etc. Ben Blosser moved to accept the committee reports as read. Megan Francis seconded the motion. The motion to accept the committee reports as read passed.

New Business:

· A-C FFA Update

o Jeff Tilley discussed the upcoming CDE and the results from the recent ones passed, 3 students working on their American FFA Degree, Fruit & Flower Bulb Sale results, progress in the Greenhouse and what is still needed, upcoming Louisville Trip, and possible program upcoming changes.

· Josh Cordle and J.D. Stover were nominated to attend the Ohio FFA Alumni Annual Meeting. Eric Valentine moved to send and pay for the two members to attend the Ohio FFA Alumni Annual Meeting on January 25^th. Jeff Tilley seconded the motion. The motion to send Josh Cordle and J.D. Stover and pay for their dinner and tickets to the Ohio FFA Alumni Annual Meeting on January 25th passed.

· There was lots of discussion held on the Membership Incentive Program. Some members were going to make some changes to the one in place and have it for the next meeting to be approved.

· The 2014-2015 Meeting Dates are as follows:

o 3/29/14 @ 6 P.M. Ag Classroom

o 6/22/14 @ 5 P.M. Jeff Tilley's residence

o 8/16/14 @ 6 P.M. Mark and Megan Francis' residence

o 11/15/14 @ 6 P.M. Ag Center

o 1/10/15 @ 6 P.M. Ben and Jennifer Blosser's residence

· Eric Valentine moved to re-elect all the officers for the 2014 year. Mark Francis seconded the motion. The motion to re-elect all officers for the 2014 year passed.

· Election for the Committee Chairs was held:

o Fundraising - Josh Cordle

o Social Activities - Brittany Pinkstock

o Membership Recruitment & Retention - Nick Brumfield

o Student Scholarship - Jennifer Blosser

o Public Relations & Community Service - Megan Francis

Eric Valentine moved to accept the Committee Chairs nominated. Mark Francis seconded the motion. The motion to accept the Committee Chairs nominated passed.

· Eric Valentine moved to set aside $6000.00 for a concession trailer. Josh Cordle seconded the motion. There are a few members that will be looking at concession trailers to purchase in the upcoming week/month. The motion to set aside $6000.00 for a concession trailer passed.

· Mark Francis moved to pay for a new alternator to fix the forklift. Josh Cordle seconded the motion. The motion to pay for a new alternator to fix the forklift passed.

· Eric Valentine moved to adjourn the meeting. Mark Francis seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 7:57 PM.

The next FFA Alumni Meeting will be March 29, 2014 @ 6 PM at the Ag Classroom.
