Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Alumni Meeting Minutes

The quarterly meeting of the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Alumni was called to order by President Nick Greiner on January 12, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at the Amanda-Clearcreek High School in the Ag Ed Classroom. There were 12 members present: Jeff Tilley, J.D. Stover, Nick Greiner, Ben Blosser, Jennifer Blosser, Mark Francis, Megan Francis, Robert Blosser, Brynn Hoffman, Christian Hoffman, Jenna Ferguson and Brittany Pinkstock. There was one guest. The following members were absent but excused: Amanda Cassidy, Sierra Jepsen, Nate Seitz, Jack Tilley, Jennifer Statzer, Travis Kiser, Eric Valentine, Hannah Chenetski, Emily Cordle, Crystal Groves, Stacey Sams and Scott Sharp.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting: Brittany Pinkstock moved accept the minutes of the previous meeting. Robert Blosser seconded the motion. The motion to accept the minutes of the previous meeting passed.

Officer Reports: Jeff Tilley held discussion about the financial report provided. Mark Francis moved to accept the officer report. Brittany Pinkstock seconded the motion. The motion to accept the officer report passed.

Unfinished Business: None

Committee Reports:

· Scholarship Committee - Jeff Tilley and Jennifer Blosser held discussion on upcoming scholarship interviews. The interview date was set for March 14^th. Jennifer Blosser, Brynn Hoffman and Jenna Ferguson will make-up the interview committee.

Christian Hoffman moved to accept the committee reports. Ben Blosser seconded the motion. The motion to accept the committee reports passed.

Special Features: None

New Business:

· A-C FFA Update

o Jeff Tilley discussed issues that included upcoming CDEs, the chapter fruit sale and chaperoning trips.

· A discussion was held about the upcoming Ohio FFA Alumni Annual Meeting. Brittany Pinkstock volunteered to represent the chapter at the state meeting. Jeff Tilley moved to send up to 4 A-C FFA Alumni members to the Ohio FFA Alumni Annual Meeting and to provide them with $15 each to reimburse them for their meals. Brittany Pinkstock seconded the motion. The motion to send up to 4 members to the Ohio FFA Alumni Annual Meeting and to provide them with $15 each to reimburse them for their meals passed.

· A general discussion was held to set the 2013 meeting dates. The meeting dates will be as follows:

o 3/17/13 – 6 PM – Ag Ed Classroom

o 6/8/13 – 6 PM – TBA

o 8/11/13 – 6 PM – Ag Center

o 11/16/13 – 6 PM – Ag Ed Classroom

o 1/11/14 – 6 PM – Ag Ed Classroom

· Jeff Tilley moved to retain Nick Greiner as President, Ben Blosser as Vice-President, and Crystal Groves as Secretary. Robert Blosser seconded the motion. There was some discussion. The motion to retain Nick Greiner as President, Ben Blosser as Vice-President, and Crystal Groves as Secretary passed.

· Christian Hoffman moved to retain Jeff Tilley as Treasurer. Brittany Pinkstock seconded the motion. The motion to retain Jeff Tilley as Treasurer passed.

· Jennifer Blosser moved to make Brynn Hoffman the chapter’s News Reporter. Mark Francis seconded the motion. There was some discussion. The motion to make Brynn Hoffman the chapter’s News Reporter passed.

· Jeff Tilley moved to adjourn the meeting. J.D. Stover seconded the motion. The motion to adjourn the meeting passed. The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 P.M.
