Amanda-Clearcreek Alumni Meeting Minutes

The quarterly meeting of the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Alumni was called to order on March 21, 2015 by Vice-President Ben Blosser at 7:46 P.M. at the Amanda-Clearcreek Ag classroom. There were 14 members present: Nick Greiner, Jeff Tilley, Brittany Tilley, Megan Francis, Mark Francis, Crystal Groves, Ben Blosser, Jennifer Blosser, J.D. Stover, Katerina Sharp, Rachel Stoneburner, Laurie Travis, and Nick Brumfield. 13 members were excused: Amanda Cassidy, Jeff Cordle, Brad Bowers, Angie Greiner, Brynn Hoffman, Christian Hoffman, Alyssa Jenkins, Kyle Sharp, Scott Sharp, David Sams, Mikaila Drake, Jenna Ferguson, and Kaylee Reed.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting: Brittany Tilley moved to accept the minutes of the previous meeting. Mark Francis seconded the motion. The motion to accept the minutes of the previous meeting passed.

Officer Reports: Jeff Tilley held discussion on the financial report about the recent alumni’s finances. Mark Francis moved to accept the officer report as read. J.D. Stover seconded the motion. The motion to accept the officer report as read passed.

Committee Reports: Brittany Tilley held discussion about possible upcoming alumni trips, gatherings, and activities and Jeff Tilley discussed annual dues changes. JD Stover moved to accept the committee reports as read. Megan Francis seconded the motion. The motion to accept the committee reports as read passed.

New Business:

· Jeff Tilley held discussion on chapter updates, events, progress, Proficiency Awards, State and National FFA Degrees, Mulch Sale, Flower Bulb Sale, and the FFA Awards Banquet.

· Megan Francis moved to participate in the Fairfield Medical Center Block Party selling French fries this summer pending approval of Worker’s Compensation. Laurie seconded the motion. · Jeff Tilley moved to renew the alumni’s liability insurance. Ben Blosser seconded the motion. The motion to renew the alumni’s liability insurance passed.

· Nick Greiner moved to have a poster about the alumni and becoming a member along with business cards displayed the Chapter Awards Banquet. Jeff Tilley seconded the motion. · Megan Francis moved to give out FFA Alumni t-shirts to all volunteers that work two events or promotional events. Nick Greiner seconded the motion. The motion to give out FFA Alumni t-shirts to all volunteers that work two events or promotional events passed.

· Mark Francis moved to participate in the FFA Awards banquet with silent auction and 50/50 raffle. Megan Francis seconded the motion. The motion to participate in the FFA Awards banquet with silent auction and 50/50 raffle passed.

· Brittany Tilley moved to give the last scholarship recipient to the end of March, 2015 to collect their finances and supply the necessary documents needed. JD Stover seconded the motion. · Mark Francis moved to approve 5 scholarships to give out. Nick Greiner seconded the motion. The motion to approve 5 scholarships to give out passed.

· Crystal Groves moved to donate $100 to the Thad Davis 5k in June. Megan Francis seconded the motion. The motion to donate $100 to the Thad Davis 5k in June passed.

· Jeff Tilley moved to drop all FFA Alumni dues due to the recent changes by the FFA Alumni Association. Mark Francis seconded the motion. The motion to drop all FFA Alumni dues due to the recent changes by the FFA Alumni Association passed.

· Megan Francis moved to adjourn the meeting. Brittany Tilley seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 9:53 P.M.
