Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Alumni Meeting Minutes

The quarterly meeting of the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Alumni was called to order by President, Nick Greiner on August 18^th, 2013 at 6:17 P.M. in the Ag Center. There were 12 members present: Brittany Pinkstock, Brynn Hoffman, J.D. Stover, Nick Greiner, Jeff Tilley, Josh Cordle, Christian Hoffman, Jennifer Blosser, Ben Blosser, Stacey Sams, Mark Francis and Megan Francis.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting: Brittany Pinkstock moved to accept the minutes of the previous meeting. Josh Cordle seconded the motion. The motion to accept the minutes of the previous meeting passed.

Officer Reports: Jeff Tilley held discussion on the Alumni's Financial report. Brynn Hoffman, also, held discussion about what can be sent to be published in the Town Crier. Jennifer Blosser moved to accept the officer reports. Brittany Pinkstock seconded the motion. The motion to accept the officer reports as presented passed.

Unfinished Business: None

Committee Reports: No specific report was given. There was discussion relating to the Fundraising Committee. The main item discussed other than getting members to help with the fry sales at the games was the addition of chili and cheese as optional toppings for fry sales.

Josh Cordle moved to add chili and cheese as additional toppings for the French fry sales at an additional cost and to try it for one game; if it works, we would then continue the topping offerings. Mark Francis seconded the motion. The motion to add additional toppings passed.

Mark Francis moved to buy a roaster to be used as a French fry warmer at the games. Megan Francis seconded the motion. The motion to buy a roaster passed.

There was also discussion concerning membership and scholarships but no action was taken.

New Business:

· A-C FFA Update

o Jeff Tilley discussed the possible Ohio FFA CDE changes, the need for approved chaperones for the upcoming school year, greenhouse progress and plans, the upcoming FFA events, program status and changes, and the A-C school district updates and changes.

o Upcoming FFA events include:

§ Ice Cream Social – Sept. 4^th at 7 PM

§ Fall Trap Shoot – Sept. 29^th at 1 PM

§ National FFA Convention – Oct. 30^th through Nov. 2^nd

§ Annual Chapter Hog Roast – Nov. 13^th

• The next A-C FFA Alumni meeting will be held November 16^th, 2013 in the Ag Classroom 6 P.M. as has been previously established.

• Stacey Sams moved to adjourn the meeting. Brittany Pinkstock seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 P.M.
