The Farm Bureau has sucessfully passed a new Renewable Fuels Standard. 7.5 billion gallons of renewable fuels will now be used by the Nation each year instead of the former 3.5 billion gallons.

Locks and dams will be upgraded along the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. This allows large barges carrying corn and other crops to pass through the locks and dams in one trip. This saves time and money for the farmers.
