For some people keeping records come easy to them for others not so easy, but for everyone that wants to learn how to keep records just as go as the other guys you just have to follow three simple rules. First main rule always date treatments. Even when you don't think it's a big deal record it anyway just to be on the safe side. Recording data will also give information on what treatments the animal has gone through if anyone needs to know. The second rule is the hogs identification. Some examples of identification that farmer use is ear taging, ear notching, or tattoos. Most farmers us the ear taging in both ear because it is easier to keep track of them rather than giving them a tattoo. All farmer us ear notching. Ear notching tell what month the hog was born and what litter it was in. The third rule is product usage. Lots of farmers want to save money so they think that the medication product won't go out of data.WRONG! Every product has an experation date on the lable and if you give a hog an out of date product it could kill the animal.
