Next Meeting

The next meeting of the A-C FFA will be heldFebruary 26th. This will be the final meeting conducted by your2000-2001 Officer Team. The membership will be voting in newofficers, so if you don't come you can't vote!


Officer Applications

Officer apps. are due on Valentines Day- the14th. These applications can be found in the Shared Documents folder,under applications. In order to run for office you must have earnedyour chapter degree. Those wishing to run for Reporter, Treasurer, orSecretary must see Mr. Tilley for an additional application.Interviews will be held after school on the 20th at 6pm. Good Luck toall those who apply!


Contest Info

The chapter run-off for the public speakingcontest will be held after school on the 7th. This includes CreedSpeaking, Beginning Prepared, Senior Prepared, and Extemporaneous.The county public speaking contest will be held at Liberty Union at3:30. The District 7 contest will be held February 27th at PickawayRoss JVS.

The run-off for the Job Interview contestwill also be held the 7th. Districts will be held the 21st at LickingValley. This includes Ag. Science, Ag. Business and Ag. Production.The District Ag. Sales Contest will be held on Presidents Day- the19th. Please see Mr. Tilley or Mr. Sharp for more information.


The Power Show

Several members of the Amanda-Clearcreek FFAChapter visited the Ohio Power Show with Mr. Sharp on the 28th ofJanuary. They attended to not only enjoy the attractions but to sellraffle tickets that will benefit the Ohio FFA Foundation. The moneyearned will be used for the many awards that the members earn at thestate level. The raffle tickets themselves are for a John Deere Gator6x4. Our members sold over $2,000 worth. Those members were:

Robert Blosser, Matt Lamp, Nick Lee,Cliff Rutter, Mike Justice, Jenny Green, and Amy Araujo.


National Farm Machinery ShowTrip

Congratulations to the top fruit salespeople for their outstanding efforts. You will be rewarded awesomelywith a relaxing three day trip to Louisville, Kentucky for theNational Farm Machinery Show from the 16th to the 18th. These memberswill leave from the school at around 6am on Friday and arriving homeat around 6am on Sunday. Those who will be attending are:Beth Fouse, Rachel Makarius, RobertBlosser, Holly Edwards, Katie Bowman, Heather Makarius, Mary White,Amie White, Sidney Bennett, Brandy Vannoy, Jordan Lee, Rick Foster,Michael Shaeffer Brian Bussert, Justin Cox, Randall Miller, JaceSpires, Zach McPherson, Mark Francis, Ryan Foster, Clayton Sharp,Chris Thorton, Lance Green, Eric Cox, and Cliff Rutter.


National FFA Week

FFA members all over the nation will besupporting and proudly representing their chapters during NationalFFA Week. This week lasts from the 19th to the 24th with each daybearing a different theme. Monday there is no school, due to it beingPresidents Day. Tuesday is Teacher Appreciation Day and RecruitmentDay. Wednesday is FFA Shirt Day with Thursday being Official DressDay. Last but certainly not least, Friday will be Truck and TractorDay. *(subject toadministrative approval)


State Application Update

Various members have been spending afterschool hours and many weekends working to complete and perfect theirProficiency Awards, State Degrees, and Officer Books. Mr. Tilley willknow some results on the 9th.
