Officer Farewell

This is the last newsletter of the 2003-2004 year. The new officer team was elected on Monday, February 9th. For our last newsletter, I decided that I would like to do a special article about this years officer team. On a personal note I would like to thank them all for a great year. It has been a great year. We have done many things as an officer team and we all have our memories about our year together. I would like to share each of our most memorable moments this year with all of you.

Our 2003-04 President Amanda Cassidy's most memorable moment from our year together was the officer retreat. She said, "My most memorable moment of the past year was Brian falling out of the raft when we were white water rafting on the officer retreat. I had so many it was hard to pick out one but that one sticks out most in my mind. Thanks for a great year."

-Amanda

Our Sentinel Brian Bussert states, "I would have to say my favorite memory as an Amanda Clearcreek FFA Officer was on the officer retreat when I fell out of the raft on a rapid without a name! Without a doubt, as my fellow officers will tell you, one of my finer moments."

Our Treasurer Erika Hardman says, " My most memorable moment was when Mr. Sharp called me and said that I was the new treasurer. It was on of those AWWW moments!!"

Reporter Holly Edwards says, "My most memorable moment as an officer of the Amanda Clearcreek FFA chapter was the awards banquet. We were all so stressed out about all the work that it involved and the time we had to put in it. And I can speak for everyone in saying the day of the awards banquet we were all so nervous. When it was finished and Amanda adjourned, I was so proud to be a part of the 2003-04 officer team. I would like to say all the time and effort we put into it really paid off."

Thanks for a great year you guys!!

Officer Interviews

Officer interviews were Thursday February 5th. Those members who ran for office were required to attend this interview. The first interview began at 5:00 p.m. The interviewing committee consisted of: Brian Bussert, Jenny Zaayer, Holly Edwards, Jenna Spires, and Ben Blosser. Jenna and Ben are A-C FFA Alumni members and we appreciate their help. The committee asked numerous questions to challenge the candidates to think about why they wanted to be an officer and what they could do to better the chapter. As well as what the interviewee wanted to gain from the chapter and why they think they would be the best person for the position selected. At the end of the interviews the committee made a ballot of who they thought would best fit the offices according to the questions that were answered. Good Luck to everyone who is running for office.
