Fruit Sale

The 2003 fruit sale has come to an end and I am pleased to announce that the chapter sold over 1700 boxes of fruit and had gross sales of over $35,000 this year. Ninety-one members from the chapter sold fruit. For the first time ever, we had two freshman as the top two fruit sales people. The top salesperson was Christine Bussert who sold 61 boxes of fruit. The second place salesperson was Dakota Leedom who sold 51 boxes of fruit. Thank you to all of those members who sold fruit for their tremendous support to the chapter.

State Officer Leadership Night

The chapter hosted the state officer leadership night on Tuesday, December 16th. There were six schools present: Teays Valley, Fairfield Union, Liberty Union, Bloom Carroll, Lancaster, and Amanda-Clearcreek. I am pleased to announce that our chapter had an excellent turnout, with 30 FFA members present. The leadership workshop is run by some of the current State FFA Officers and is a wonderful opportunity for our members to increase their leadership skills. Those FFA members present enjoyed many interesting and helpful workshops that will pay off in there high school career through the FFA or even in a career in the future. Following the workshops they enjoyed dinner provided by the Amanda Clearcreek FFA Chapter. Thanks to those who attended.
