FFA Meeting

                The next FFA Meeting will be held on Monday, December 12th at 7:00 P.M. The Ag Challenge will be FFA Trivia, which is a group activity. Any member who wishes to participate for their class may do so. We will also be having the Greenhand FFA Degree Ceremony for all freshmen who will be receiving it.

Ag Breakfast 

               Ag breakfast for the month of December was held on the 1st at Bob Evans at 6:30 A.M.

Fruit Delivery and Pick Up

                The fruit will be delivered to the Ag Center on Monday and can be picked up from 6-8 P.M, December 5th. Fruit pick-up will be on December 6th and 7th 3:15-8:30 P.M, and the 8th 3:15-5 P.M. All students must pick up all fruit on these dates. Remember to get all fruit money collected and turned in before Christmas break.

 

State Officer Leadership Night

                The State Officer Leadership Night was held at A-C on Monday, November 21st at 6:00 P.M. This was a fun and exciting way to get to know some of the Ohio FFA State Officers, meet people from other FFA chapters in the county and get a good dose of leadership and public speaking training. The officers put on several different leadership workshops. Following the workshops, food and drinks were provided to all that attended. Schools that attended were: Bloom Carroll- 29 members, Teays Valley- 5 members, Liberty Union-25 members, Fairfield Union- 10 members, Lancaster- 22 members, and Logan Elm- 4 members. Members who attended from A-C totaled 36. A-C FFA Members in attendance were: David Sams, J.D. Stover, Matt Miller, Emerson Martin, Josh Cordle, Matt Taylor, Sarah Rogers, Haylee Shaw, Ryan Davis, Nathan Brumfield, Dani Sowers, Cortney Collins, Erika Hardman, Josh Ayers, Dustin Baxter, Adam Baldwin, Crystal Covell, Ashley Lamb, Bobbi Edwards, Jordan Collins, Christine Boso, Christine Bussert, O’neal Blackburn, Kelsey Goodman, T.J. Miller, Heather Young, Kyle Kennedy, Greg Bowers, Judd Ellinger, Courtney Cox, Megan Underhill, Billy Davis, Lacey Price, Emiley Bolin, Nic White, and Kayla Richmond.

 

Holiday Food Drive

     Once again, our chapter participated in the Chelsea Hedrick Holiday Food Drive in Amanda and Stoutsville. The food bags were dropped off to homes in Amanda and Stoutsville  on November 18th and picked up on November 23rd. During the day students in Mr. Sharp’s classes delivered and picked up bags. After school on the drop off and pick-up days, members volunteered to go to Stoutsville. In total, our chapter collected nearly 200 bags of food for needy families. Members who volunteered after school were: April Senften, Crystal Covell, Josh Ayers, Ashley Lamb, Bobbi Edwards, T.J. Miller, Kevin McCalla, Pat Foley, Roger Sisler, D.J. Hopkins, Ryan Watkins, Maegen Horn, Dustin Baxter, Heather Young, Alyssa Brainard, Haylee Shaw, Tiffany Brown, Christine Boso, Alex Ogan, Heather McGuire, Betsy Bowshier, Tony Johnston, C.J. Broaddus, Alyssa Jenkins, Kayla Richmond, Ron Luck, and Kyle Kennedy. Thank you to all who toughed it out in the cold weather to help. It is greatly appreciated!

Proficiency Awards and State FFA Degrees

    Anyone wishing to apply for Proficiency Awards or State FFA Degrees needs to see Mr. Tilley or Mr. Sharp ASAP. We will be working on these over Christmas break.

Holiday Break

                Holiday break will be from December 19th to January 1st. I hope that everyone has a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
