This year MFE was once again held at Union Local H.S on February 27-28, 2010. MFE is an overnight leadership conference. During the day, students have sessions to attend where there are guest presenters, but at night members stay up all night and play games. This year there was a dance before the tournaments. Tournaments that were held were: volleyball and euchre. This year at MFE, the Union Local FFA Alumni tried something new as they had blow-up games for all of the students to play in and some of the teachers too! We had a total of 26 students attend this year, which is also a chapter record: Nick Brumfield, Dusty Cornell, Samantha Thompson, Ryan Kelley, Becca Bentz, Aaron Miller, John Miller, Alex Norris, Colleen Trapp, Nate Seitz, Josh Watkins, Dan Quincel, Riley Horn, Josh Adams, Amber Foreman, Seth Sayre, Jenni Miller, Emily Cordle, Jauni Stalder, Ellie Johnson, Caitlin Robinson, Kylea Schlosser, Sierra Jepsen, Cheyenne Jepsen, Jocab White and Mike Hite.

Public Speaking
The District 7 Public Speaking contest was hosted by our chapter this year at the Amanda-Clearcreek H.S on February 25th . There were four categories for the individual areas for the contest: Creed, Beginning Prepared, Extemporaneous, and Prepared. Each county can only bring their top two for Beginning Prepared, Extemporaneous and Prepared and top three for Creed. This year we had great participation with: Creed - Nick Brumfield, Beginning Prepared - Sierra Jepsen and Extemporaneous - Emily Morgan. Nick placed 5th in Creed Speaking, which is the highest any member has placed in Creed Speaking in many years. Sierra placed 1st and Emily placed 2nd, which allows both of them to move on to the State Preliminary contest at Ohio State University on March 20th. Congratulations to everyone and good luck to Sierra and Emily! This is the first time in chapter history that our chapter had two members advance to the State Preliminary in the same year.
