Every year our chapter holds an annual awards banquet honoring our members for all their hard work and success throughout the school year. This year’s banquet was held Saturday, May 14th at 4 P.M. Many members received awards for their SAE projects, contests awards, and their overall participation in the FFA. All members were expected to attend. Family members, past FFA members, and the community were encouraged to attend too. Some of our award winners this year were:
Star Greenhand Award: Katerina Sharp, Rachel Stoneburner, Katie Krile, and Jacquelyn Gibson.
Outstanding Sophomore Award: Nick Brumfield
Outstanding Junior Award: Sierra Jepsen
Outstanding Senior Award: Aaron Miller
Made of Excellence Award: Allyson Davis, Carrie Stoneburner, and Rachel Stoneburner
Ohio Leadership Camp Award: Emily Cordle and Caitlin Robinson
Washington Leadership Conference Award: John Miller and Sierra Jepsen
State Officers
Aaron Miller and Sierra Jepsen are our new State Officers! Aaron is our State Treasurer and Sierra is our District 7 President. It is very rare for a chapter to have two members serve as State officers in the same year. This is a huge accomplishment. Aaron and Sierra have a lot in store for them. Congratulations Aaron and Sierra!!!
Contest Results
The Farm Business Management team placed 38th at State. The team members were: Rachel Stoneburner, Katerina Sharp, Jacquelyn Gibson, and Nikki Herron. Since these are young members, we look forward to them placing higher next year. Good job girls!!!

The Agricultural Engineering Technology team placed 37th at State. The team members were: Nick Brumfield, Chancey Holbrook, and Dakota Hawk.
Proficiency Awards
Congratulations to Allyson Davis, Nate Seitz, Emily Cordle, Brittany Stevens, and Cheyenne Jepsen for placing in the Top 4 for their SAE projects at State Convention. These members had to make a poster board to display at State Convention and went through a 10-15 minute interview. Allyson placed 1st for Environmental and Natural Resources, Nate placed 2nd in Agricultural Mechanics Repair & Maintenance, Emily placed 3rd in Nursery Operations, Brittany placed 4th in Veterinary Medicine, and Cheyenne placed 3rd in Beef Production. Allyson’s application will be forwarded to the National level. Great job to these 5 members!
