Community
Service:
á Our FFA Chapter
helped gather more than 1900 pounds of food from Stoutsville and Amanda for the
Chelsea Hedrick Food-Drive. Each year the FFA chapter walks through Amanda,
putting bags on the doorsteps asking community members to fill the bags with
non-perishable food items if they are able to. In the afternoon the members
then traveled to Stoutsville to do the same thing. Then on the scheduled day
the FFA members went around Amanda and Stoutsville to collect all of the bags
that were filled. The chapter also sent home bags with all of the FFA members
asking their families, if they did not live in the villages, to donate food
items. The items that were collected were used to put together holiday food
baskets for the needy families in the community. The Chelsea Hedrick food drive
is very helpful to the families in our community that are in need so the
Amanda-Clearcreek FFA is glad to help in any way that we can.
á Several of our FFA Chapter members helped at J.B. Robinson jewelers in
the River Valley Mall to sell Teddy Bears for St. Judes ChildrenŐs Research
Hospital. A-C FFA members we able to sell 43 bears raising over $600. Austin Stai was the top seller out of
