Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Alumni Meeting Minutes

The quarterly meeting of the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Alumni was called to order by President Nick Greiner on June 22, 2014 at 7:11 P.M. at the home of Jeff Tilley. There were 17 members present: Ben Blosser, Jennifer Blosser, Mark Francis, Megan Francis, Cassi Rainier, Robert Blosser, Nick Greiner, Angie Greiner, J.D. Stover, Jeff Tilley, Laurie Travis, Josh Cordle, Brynn Hoffman, David Sams, Katie Krile, Katerina Sharp, and Brittany Pinkstock. There were 11 members that responded to the RSVP and were excused: Hannah Chenetski, Jeff Cordle, Christian Hoffman, Alyssa Jenkins, Aaron Miller, Scott Sharp, Joel Spires, Jack Tilley, Crystal Groves, Justin Groves and Mikaila Drake.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting: Ben Blosser moved to accept the minutes of the previous meeting. Brittany Pinkstock seconded the motion. The motion to accept the minutes of the previous meeting passed.

Officer Reports: Jeff Tilley held discussion on the treasurer's report about the alumni's finances. Mark Francis moved to accept the officer reports. David Sams seconded the motion. The motion to accept the officer reports as read passed.

Committee Reports: Josh Cordle held discussion about the recent fund raiser events such as the Pizza Cottage night and the A-C FFA Banquet activities. There was discussion about the purchase of fryers and a trailer. Jennifer Blosser discussed scholarship recipients. Jeff Tilley discussed membership changes. Brittany Pinkstock requested ideas for social activities. Robert Blosser moved to accept the committee reports as read. Josh Cordle seconded the motion. The motion to accept the Committee Reports as read passed.

New Business:

· Jeff Tilley held discussion on program changes, the potential addition of a third Ag Teacher and upcoming summer events.

· Jeff Tilley discussed the renewal of the Certificate of Deposit. No action was taken, therefore the CD will not be renewed.

· Jeff Tilley discussed the ‘Remind’ website that allows for mass emailing or texting for better communication within the group. Cassie Rainier moved to set-up the Remind website for the group. David Sams seconded the motion. The motion to set-up the Remind website passed.

· There was discussion about getting liability insurance. Cassie Rainier moved to purchase liability insurance if it did not exceed $650. Brittany Pinkstock seconded the motion. The motion to purchase liability insurance passed.

· The group decided on holding the next meeting on August 16^th, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. at Mark and Megan Francis’ residence.

· Ben Blosser moved to adjourn the meeting. David Sams seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 P.M.
