Next FFA Meeting

The next FFA meeting for the A-C Chapter will be on August 25, 2025. This is the meeting that will kick off the 2025-2026 school year. For the Ag Challenge we plan on doing the Straw Bale Toss. One girl and one guy will be chosen from each grade level and compete against each grade to see who can throw the bale of straw the farthest. We encourage everyone to be there!

June

Top Spring Fundraisers Camping Trip: For the members who were the top 15 sellers of  mulch during the Spring Fundraiser, they are able to go on the camping trip on June 1st to the 4th. On this trip members get the chance to go through a via ferrata, which is a form of modified rock climbing, historical sites around the Red River Gorge, West Virginia, and one of the world’s biggest reptile zoos. Trip’s like these are earned by our highest sellers in the chapter. If you would like to be able to go to these activities in the future, I challenge you to sell enough mulch next year to earn your way on the trip! It’s a great activity and an amazing time.

Amanda-Clearcreek Alumni Awards Banquet: On Saturday June 7th the A-C Alumni will be hosting their 100th annual alumni banquet. With how much they provide to our students here at A-C regarding scholarships and opportunities, we would ask that we have members please come to help set up tables for this event at 9 AM that morning. If you are interested in this community service activity, please reach out to either Mr. Tilley via text.

A-C Alumni That Davis 5k/Walk:  On June 14 2025 another community service opportunity is in play. Members will be expected to direct traffic, set up tables, and do clean up. This is a good activity for members. When the time comes please notify Mr. Tilley if you are able to participate.

Ohio Leadership Camp: For our chapter it has been a while since we have been involved in this activity. This year, the following members Alayna Leppert, Greta Helser, Coltyn Anderson, Justin Seymour, and Reese Melton are the participants. They will be spending June 20th to the 23th at Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum near Carrollton working on their leadership skills to bring back to the chapter and also having an overall great time at camp.

Washington Leadership Conference: This leadership conference is based in Washington D.C. and our chapter traditionally sends 2 members each year with their trip costs paid for through the Memorial Award. This year Sophia Dossman and Alayna Leppert are the members being sent. During this time these two ladies will be learning new leadership skills through keynote speakers, sessions, and activities throughout our nation's capital. Also during this time they will be doing a community service activity. This experience is huge for themselves and provides new leadership skills for them to bring back to the chapter. Have fun ladies!

Officer Retreat: This summer the officer team and assistants will be going to a location within Ohio to participate in several team building, leadership activities and also plan our Chapters activities for next year. They will also focus on team building skills to make their chapter better. The officer retreat will take place from June 30 to July 2nd.

July

5th Session FFA Camp: On the days of July 7th to July 11th members from our chapter will be going to Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum with over 200 FFA Members from all over Ohio to participate in many leadership type activities as well as sporting events, trap shooting, archery and rifle range shooting and many other nature and leadership based activities. Throughout this time our members will have the opportunity to try new foods, activities, and even meet new people. This is a great chance to get away from home and learn all kinds of new and exciting things all while having fun in the process. If you are interested in going, or have any questions, contact Mr. Sharp or Mr. Tilley.

Canoe Trip:  On July 14, all members are encouraged to join each other at Paint Creek to hang out and take a canoe trip down the creek with friends. This is always a fun activity and everyone is invited. More details will be sent out through the Remind message system in July.

Early August

Adopt-A-Highway:   To do our part for our highway we are in charge of, on August 1st we ask all available members to help clean up the side of the roads at around 10am. This is a great community service opportunity for all and we hope to see you there!

Pelotonia: For close to 20 years now our chapter has volunteered to help out at this event. This is a bike tour that starts in Columbus and goes through various parts of Ohio. The point of this is to raise money for cancer research. Our chapter,as always, will need members to volunteer to travel to Columbus with the Chapter on Friday August 1st at 5pm to help with this set up. T-shirts will be provided for members to wear, and transportation as well. As this is an excellent community service activity to start the year off with, we encourage all to attend!

A-C FFA Members place over 300 flags at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Stoutsville to help honor our local veterans for Memorial Day.
