Tom Price is the owner of this operation of composting manure, tree limbs, leaves; he also feeds 100 head cattle and between 400-500 head of hogs.
The Price Family cultivates and active and positive presence in the community in a variety of ways; service and volunteer activities, by providing a positive impact to the environment through recycling and composting of yard trimmings and animal manure and operating an economically viable farming operation.
"I have found that management-intensive grazing nets more dollars than conventional cropping rotations and allows year round application of composting hog manure. In a highly urbanized setting, cattle on pasture help create positive feelings between the livestock farm and the neighboring community," said Price, on grazing.
