Safety Hazards

 

Safety hazards are very common on farms. Nationwide Agribusiness Insurance tries to warn farmers of these common safety hazards.

The location of fuel tanks should be 25 ft. away from buildings. A fuel tank can cause a fire and could easily spread to buildings if they are too close to the fuel tank.

Outlet boxes and covers need to be kept clean. Rusted boxes and covers cause a safety hazard and could possibly cause a fire.

Pins used to keep animals contained need to be securely wired shut. Livestock on the road can cause an accident and risk the lives of other people.

Slow Moving Vehicle (SMV) signs must be able to be easily seen by other people operating vehicles on the road.
