PQA is a volentary educational program started in 1989 that helps to:

Prevent violative drug residues

increase food safety awareness

increase awareness of proper animal care

The two main elements of PQA plus are:

-Food Safety: Physical, Chemical, and Biological Hazards

-Animal Well-Being: Housing, management, nutrition, Diease prevention, and responible care
